LI Shushen is an expert on semiconductor device physics, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and The World Academy of Sciences, professor of Institute of Semiconductors , CAS, director of The State Key Laboratory for Superlattices and Microstructures, and president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He received his master degree from Southwest Jiaotong University in 1989, and PhD from Institute of Semiconductors, CAS in 1996. He started to work as the vice president of Institute of Semiconductors, CAS in 2006, and was nominated as a chief scientist National Basic Research Program of China in 2009. In 2011, he became an academician of CAS. Since 2018 he has worked as the president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
His researches focus on Low-dimensional semiconductor physics and devices, Prediction of Optoelectronic Device Performance and Solid state Quantum Information.
