Hiroshi Amano
Foreign academician of Chinese Academy of engineering, member of Japanese Academy of engineering, member of American Academy of engineering, winner of 2014 Nobel Prize in physics, Professor of Institute of future materials and systems, Nagoya University

Professor Tianye is currently a professor at the Institute of future materials and systems, Nagoya University. He was elected a member of the Japanese Academy of Engineering (2015) and the American Academy of Engineering (2016). He is the chairman of LEDIA International Conference (2012-present) and regional technology chairman of compound semiconductor International Conference (2013-present).

Hiroshi tieno received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nagoya in 1983, and a master's degree and a doctor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Nagoya in 1985 and 1989, respectively.

Professor Tianye is a well-known international scholar in the field of semiconductor. He has been devoted to the research of nitride semiconductor materials and devices, especially the growth of Gan materials and the preparation of devices. He pioneered the technology of fabricating GaN based blue led by MOCVD, and successfully realized p-type GaN for the first time, which made it possible to inject blue light into PN junction. Through the introduction of AlN low-temperature buffer layer and Mg doping and activation technology, he developed the world's first blue LED prototype device, which opened up a successful technical path, and greatly promoted the high electric to optical conversion efficiency The final breakthrough of blue LED has led to the research and development of global semiconductor lighting, which makes energy saving of semiconductor lighting a reality. As of January 2020, he has been authorized 32 invention patents, written 27 monographs and published 617 academic journal papers.

Professor Tianye won the 2014 Nobel Prize in physics for his invention of efficient blue light diode, which brings bright and energy-saving white light source.

Professor Tianye was elected as a foreign academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2019.

Professor Tianye served as special adviser to the 162nd Committee of Japan wide band gap semiconductor optoelectronic devices (2010-2017), advisory member of the international semiconductor Union (2016-2019), organizing member of the Japanese Congress of the international physical Olympiad (2016-2021), and chairman of iwumd2017 International Conference.
